Hunter Lloyd

Today, Hunter Lloyd, a professor at MSU Bozeman came and talked to the kids about computer science and math. We had the privilege of watching two robots that he has programmed, Looney and Ocean. His talk was full of education and humor - the kids had a blast! Here are some pictures and a video from the assembly - ENJOY! :)

Testing Dates!!!

Please mark your calendars :) We will be taking our Smarter Balance testing on April 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th. NWEA testing will take place on May 5th, 6th, and 7th. 

Cutest Heroes EVER!

I am soooooo proud and impressed by these kiddos! They did a FABULOUS job on their Wax Museum presentations. My heart is bursting with pride :)

Wax Museum

For the next several weeks, we will be working on Biography Reports. Your child has chosen a hero that they are interested in researching. After researching and writing our reports, students will “become” their hero for a Wax Museum presentation in March (Mark your calendar for Monday, March 9th at 8:30!). Thanks in advance for all your help and support with this fun project!

Wax Museum Hero Project Guidelines

I will...

o  Write a three paragraph biography report with

o  A catchy introductory paragraph

o  A strong body paragraph – focusing on WHY my person is an interesting hero

o  A conclusion paragraph

o  A bibliography that cites my sources

o  A costume that helps represent my hero

(We want you to get creative! No need to spend money!)

o  Make a button that will activate my presentation! (This will be done in class).

Grateful Heart

Dear Parents,

I wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your generosity at Christmas!  I love the gift cards to my favorite places, as well as all the other wonderful gifts you all gave me. Wow! I am one lucky teacher!  You are all so generous and made me feel very special. I sure am grateful to have a job where I love coming to work every day. Having supportive parents is an awesome bonus. You are all so kind and deeply touched my heart. Thanks again!
